Community Funded Project Space // Brooklyn, NY

PARADICE PALASE is an “artist-first” model dedicated to getting artists paid for their efforts, a curated series of topics for your consideration, an experiment in the strength of community-driven arts.

We are a Brooklyn curatorial project generated by online crowdfunding campaigns in collaboration with exhibiting artists. We curate bi-monthly exhibitions with affiliated programs including screenings, workshops, artist talks, performances and live music.

Our mission is:

  • Develop alternative funding methods for the arts.
  • Engage the public in innovative ways while creating a community that is invested in the arts.
  • Build relationships between artists and the public at large while providing exposure to emerging and underrepresented artists.

Founded in 2017 by Kat Ryals and Lauren Elise Hirshfield, who both previously sought outlets for their curatorial efforts, PARADICE PALASE is the love child of DIY project spaces and extremist fantasy. Fueled by taking chances, our concept is a direct reflection upon the life of an artist–being both precarious and optimistic simultaneously.
