We hosted our 2nd year of partnership with ChaNorth to offer a residency fellowship to a PARADICE PALASE artist.

ChaNorth is a residency program from the non-profit ChaShaMa that offers live/work space for artists and writers to create unrestricted, surrounded by the rural beauty of upstate NY. Up to two artists from our network are selected annually for this fellowship opportunity.

Meet our 2025 Fellows:

Congrats to Anna Guarneri & Pam Poquette who were awarded a split Fellowship during August 2025. See what our Fellows have to say about their residency experience below:

"My time at ChaNorth was a dream, really – it offered a retreat from the responsibilities of early motherhood to connect, reflect, and create in a beautiful setting.

I was amazed by the breadth and quality of professional development opportunities offered during the residency, including field trips, dinners, and studio visits with gallerists. I came away from ChaNorth with new connections and a better sense of the Hudson Valley art scene - such a gift for an emerging artist." - Pam Poquette

ChaNorth 2025 Residents:

Not only did we place two artists in our Fellowship this year, but we had a selection of our PARADICE artists get accepted into the residency season in 2025. Congrats to our PP folks who attended a residency this year! These artists include Adina Andrus, Kathleen Beausoleil, Allison DeBritz, Jacob Hicks, Mallory Concetta Smith, & Melanie Brewster.

More about ChaNorth:

ChaNorth upholds the storied tradition of the Hudson Valley by providing local and international artists with a supportive and secluded environment in which to create new work. The artist residency is embedded in the rural communities of the surrounding towns, serving as a cultural resource for the Hudson Valley. The program offers networking, exhibition and teaching opportunities and promotes awareness and understanding of visual arts in a rural community through engagement with the artists. ChaNorth also sustains a successful partnership with McEnroe Organic Farm to supply healthy, fresh produce for the artist residency through a work exchange program.

The application deadline for the 2026 has passed, but you can find information about applying on the ChaNorth website. We suggest following along on their Instagram account (@chanorthartresidency) for news and events!
